Since July was declared as the Muslim Heritage Month in Wisconsin by the governor and various other localities in the state, Wisconsin Muslim Civic Foundation held various events in Milwaukee and Madison related to Muslim heritage – culture, inventions, arts, and others. One such even was held at the Ma’ruf Center to showcase and introduce the art of Arabic Calligraphy by professionals from Chicago – Nour al Majzoub and Abdallah Clark. We were grateful to them for coming to the center from Chicago in inclement weather and spending time with us. The event was open to the public and included Ma’ruf youth members as well.
